About Me
My name is Julie. I’ve been qualified as a midwife for 20 years and been lucky enough to work in a variety of settings, including many years in the NHS, the private sector at The Portland Hospital for Women and Children and overseas, working with military families. I’ve learnt from the best and had the privilege of caring for many clients and their families.
I am passionate about midwifery but feel that over the years, resources are stretched to the limit and new families aren’t always getting the unlimited one to one postnatal care and support they need.
Based in Knutsford, Cheshire but happy to travel to surrounding areas, I hope to provide an individualised package to new mums and dads in those initial, scary, early days to listen, support, advise and empower.
Training
As a professional Midwife BSc (Hons), I’ve received comprehensive training, and maintain my skills and knowledge through continued education and research. This training helps me stay up to date with the most relevant information, and ensures I’m providing you with evidence based, best care possible.
I am regulated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council and have full Professional Indemnity Insurance.

Bespoke Postnatal home visits
From our initial free consultation, I will take the time to get to know you, your concerns and your needs.
I can provide both individual and/or packages of high standard postnatal visits in the comfort of your own home. Tailored to new parents individual needs in the first 6 weeks following delivery, at that daunting time where emotions are mixed with extreme joy and fear of beginning life with a new baby.
This may include:
Health checks for mum including physical and emotional well-being.
Health assessments for baby.
Referral to medical services if required.
Breastfeeding support and advice.
Responsive artificial feeding support and advice.
Help and advice with care of a new baby (bathing, nappy changing, cord care etc).
Home safety and safe infant sleeping advice.
Family emotional support and reassurance.
As a mum and nanna, I can also provide that little extra TLC.

Package of 6 bespoke postnatal home visits - £500
Package of 3 bespoke postnatal home visits - £275
Postnatal Home Visit 1 hour duration - £100
Postnatal Home Visit 30 minute duration - £65
